Question
Hi
congratulations for your answers.

My questions.
I need to write a financial projection - 5 years-  for a foreign channel
whose right
I have in the US. The document is for the cable company that will carry
their signal.
I will include the number of subscribers, marketing cost.
Anything else I should include?

Thank you

Answer
Hey Patrice...

Thanx for stopping by...sorry for my delay in getting back to you....
There are some other thoughts on this...see what you think here...

"Not in any particular here some of my thoughts if I were going to proceed this way...

Legal - You must have all your "ducks in a row" with all elements of your station - FCC, community, and programming.

Programming - You should create a 24/7 programming plan for a week and then a month with highlights for a year.

Engineering Design - Your facility will have a flow for audio and video, IT, master control, control rooms and studio. The transmitter would fall into this as well.

Promotion - Your business plan will include some thoughts on how you would promote your station - both on air and in the area you would serve.

Sales - This forecast would predict your revenue streams for ad sales. (Or in the case of education - how do you plan to underwrite this network?)

Internet - An area to develop as a companion to your television station coverage adding more audio and video that could not be shown on air due to time.

News (if applicable) - You would tailor a news format and crew to accommodate your coverage area and community.

These are some of the major topics I would look at while starting a station. There are many branches to each of these which would probably fill an entire book! So please note that these topics are just to get you started.

I hope the help add to your predictions for cost and proceeding forward. Come back if I can assist in some other way!
