Question
I am always told what a powerful speaking voice I have how would I go about maybe getting into doing some voice over work.

Answer
Hey Todd,

Thanx for stopping by....

Your voice is one part of the equation in this business. Knowing how to interpret a script is another very integral part of the position. If that is something you can achieve as well, then you may be on the road to a new future!

Most folks assemble a disk or create a website to show off their voicework. Once an agency begins casting for a spot, they start listening for the voice that they feel might be the most appropriate for their commercials. Then the person is hired and the recording begins....

Some people in the talent biz have agents while others may try to land with an agency and let them proffer their voice while even others set up shop totally on their own. The key to work here is recording a quality check of your voice and create a good resume.

If you are interested, contact a modeling agency or two in your area to discuss possible work.  Hopefully they can direct you to the possibilities that may lie ahead.

Best of luck in your venture...
