Local cable channel operations using leased access. Info on sites that use this federally mandated 'set aside' relatively low-cost airtime for local TV shows ranging from one half-hour show per month to 24/7 operations. What equipment is needed with the cable site inserting content in channel, to having 'live' show capability with your own equipment in the cable headend.

Experience

51 years in active journalism, print, radio, TV and for the past 15 years, cable. Owned several weekly newspapers; minor ownership and part of startup of what was once nation's largest wireless cable system; contract operator of local government channel, cable site's local origination channel, and 'ad inserts' sales for two cable sites; presently have proprietary sites that produces and airs TV shows focused on local content and with affiliate sites literally coast to coast where our firm secures local airtime with cable and has local producers airing shows under our formal agreements.
