Hello im kelly. Me and my older brother are always fighting or play fighting. well usually it was ok just messing around but lately he has been getting really mean. Last time we were wrestling around and he had me in a headlock and it hurt he would not let me go. I have never did this before to my brother or anybody. I know how bad it hurt a boy to get hit in his groin area. He would not let go so i punched him in the groin really hard. My brother let go right away and fell down. It hurt him bad. Was this mean of me....should i apologize or tell my mom. What do you think? Thanks kelly

I'm sorry to hear that happened. I know that you must feel sad and remorseful but what I would do is both apologize and tell your mom. 1st you should tell your brother you're sorry. I know that some siblings don't like apologizing to each other cause they feel that when they apologize its a sign of weakness. So if you feel like that then I would reccomend writing him a letter. Tell him how you feel that you were caught off guard because he never put you in that type of situation. Also explain why you did it even thought you knew it would hurt him. If you feel comfortable apologizing to him face to face I would say the same thing. Just keep your cool. Then you should tell your mom. Let her know what happened and also tell her that you have already started to mend the situation. I hope this helps.
