Brother & Sister Problems/2 questions

Question
Dear Jaycie, I'm proud for not bothering you so much as I used to, but may I please ask for some advice.  I really want to go with Brad this weekend when he goes out of town but I think he's taking Connie's stepdad.  I've tried being really helpful to Brad, but Connie's stepdad always beats me to it when I'm just about to do something for him.  Should I ask Brad or just try to find more ways to please him?  What more can I do for him?  And one more question please Jaycie. I was thinking about hiding Connie's riding crop because it really hurts.  She never punishes me unless I really deserve it, but I wish she would use something that didn't hurt so much.  I really don't mind getting punished especially when I know I did something bad, but I really want to I ask her to use something else, but I know that would really make her mad at me.  Would it be dumb to hide the riding crop because it would be obvious to her who hid it.  Does Connie use the riding crop on me because she knows I'm more afraid of it, and if she used something that didn't hurt so much would I not learn as fast?  I know it's a real silly question because I really do want to learn.  I just do the dumbest things sometimes and I can't stop myself.  Connie gets upset when I'm being dumb and I hate upsetting her.

Thank you so much Jaycie.

Yours respectfully.

William

Answer
You can just ask him that you were wondering if you could go. Don't do more for him. Just ask him and then if that doesn't work, then do more.

The purpose of the crop is to make it so it hurts and you won't do it again. I don't agree with it at all so I would tell you to take it but I think it would just make something worse for you. I'm not really sure what to do about it. Just try to be better and don't mess up on purpose. You can always talk to her about it, I guess.

Expertise

I have five brothers and sisters and a few in-laws. I know how frustrating they can be but I also know ways that you can become closer to them. I know that sometimes you want to be an only child but, trust me, your siblings are the best support group you will ever have. Building a relationship with them is very important with them and I would be happy to help in any way that I can. Please include your age with you answer.

Experience

I have a lot of siblings and so do my friends and between us all I've been through almost everything possible.
