Brother & Sister Problems/Big Sister problems

QuestionI am in late teens.. and my older sister(19) tries to be your typical man in interests of sport and farming, but still does other activities girls do.
I feel as though she is trying to take over who I am and be the better sibling to impress the parents, to be seen as 'tough' and a 'farming' type through what she says and what she wears.
It extremely irritates me because it feels like a constant competition with her to be the better or cooler child.
What is the best course of action?
Cheers in advance.
Answera long time ago i was told that if you are always trying to outdo someone you will never be what you wanna be. So if you are always trying to outdo your sister and be the "better or cooler child" than you will never be what YOU want to be. When I was younger my parents adopted another child. It was just me and her. And I thought that they loved her more because they choose her and i was plopped in their lap. I alway tried to be better. In sports ; music ; cheerleading ; dance ; school ; organizing EVERYTHING. But I lost sight of what I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. SO in your case you think your sister is trying to be the best in sports so youre trying to outdo her. Well instead of trying to be better than her find your thing in sports. Don't do the same sports she does. If she does soccer and is amazing at soccer than you go and play volleyball and be the best at volleyball. you say she is better at farming then find your special thing in farming. If you sister is the best poop scooper in the town then you be the best hoof cleaner in the town. Don't try to be the best at what she is and then say that you want to be better. Do something she isn't good at and do the BEST you can possible do. So that way your parents don't say "our older daughter is amazing at mowing but our younger daughter is just okay" and they CAN say "our older daughter is amazing at mowing but our younger daughter is the best person you'll find to groom your horse" ... thats what i would do
