Question
Hello, my name is Dean, I'm 37 years old and feel I've reached a stumbling point in my life.
I feel there is a hole in my life, after nursing a patient who had decided to follow Buddhist teachings and had met with a monk. I Need to find peace in my life. would Buddhism help? by nature, I'm resistive to being told what to do.

Answer
Hi Dean
Buddhism is a path to truth. People can tell you what to do, but you
have no need to do it. That is your choice. So you need to examine,
test and consider Buddhism for yourself and see if it stands up.
Buddhism presents a system of meditation for self-discovery through
working with direct experience. Why not enter a process of trial and
see how well it seems? Like running a new car for a test drive!

Good luck
