Question
QUESTION: how could i achieve the such concentration so that i will able to burn the candle with my eyes

ANSWER: Dear aashish,
It is said to take about 17 lifetimes.

More importantly, however - why would you want to do that? A cigarette lighter costs about 50 cents.

All the best

QUESTION: thts not answer sir i know tht the lighter cost 50 rs i want to increse my abilties

ANSWER: Seriously, the texts only prescribe one method for this: years and years of practice, many, many hours a day. Is it worth it?

QUESTION: sir, please tell me the way i will do the practice

Answer
You have to become practically fully enlightened before you get that kind of power, according to the texts.
One way would be to light a candle and let your view and mind focus on the flame, recalling all the time that it is impermanent - the "flame" is not a thing, but is like the flow of a river. If you can stay focussed on that for the whole time it takes for the candle to burn down, and do that again and again, you should gradually be able to "enter into" the flame with your mind. This, according to the texts, will lead to power over fire.

Expertise

I have practiced and studied Tibetan Buddhism in the Kagyu and Nyingma traditions since the early 1970s, and have a good knowledge of theory, history and of the struggles of trying to practice the teachings, including meditation, while leading a normal, modern life. I am also available to provide background information for journalists.

Experience

I have been a practitioner since the early 1970s; have run a small Buddhist centre in the English Midlands and was vice-president of Kagyu Benchen Ling e.V. in Germany, for whom I managed three large Buddhist summer-camps. More importantly, I maintain a habit of personal practice. I am the "owner" of the Kagyu list at Yahoo.

Education/Credentials
My first degree was an M.A. from Oxford. I later obtained a Master of Philosophy degree for a research thesis in "Initiation in Tibetan Buddhism" from Leicester University. I also have engineering and educational qualifications.
