Please don't look at your life in terms of a "path" that gets you from here to there. Instead, simply preceive the situation that's right in front of you in this very moment. What do you see? What do you hear? What are you doing? Clearly percieve this just-now situation, and make your best effort to respond with clarity and compassion. That's all.
