Question
hello, i have as of late i have become interested in the Buddhist religion due to its peaceful nature. and i was wondering two things, one were can i get reading material and such so that i can better learn what Buddhism is. and secondly, can you call yourself a Christian and still practice Buhddhist ideals

Answer
Hello Tyler,

As for your first question, please note that there are many different Buddhisms. I speak for Advayavada Buddhism only. Advayavada means something like not-two-ism, so you will understand that we are very nondual in our approach of existence. Maybe you might have a look at our website for more information about our views: http://www.euronet.nl/~advaya/index.htm

As for combining Buddhism with Christianity, a very interesting place to start is at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_Christianity

If you have any specific questions do not hesitate to revert to this important subject.

Kind regards,
Advayavadananda.
