Buddhists/karma

Question
Hi, I've asked a few questions about Buddhism in the past and I would like to ask one more that I hope will complete my understanding.  A Buddhist believes karma will dictate to some degree what happens after we die.  Yet, since none of us knows what happens after we die, how can a Buddhist make this statement?   Buddhism is founded on reason, not on faith, yet without information about the afterlife, how can anyone say karma has any effect at all, if not based on faith?  Thanks

Answer
Hi,
The following answer is not sarcastic but it is a fact for us. Buddhism has a ways to simulate "Death" by using deep meditation. Knowledge about past life in buddism is not from reasoning or guessing but it is from meditative experiment. Buddha mentioned that this is the thing you must know by yourself. So, I let u try meditation. Then, you would subsequently experience effect of Karmma subsequently.
