I have been practicing buddhist meditation for a couple of years, recently I have diagnosed to postrate cancer and undergo radiation therapy.  After completing therapy, I experienced tiredness after every meditation session of about an hour and my concentration is not as good as previously.  Please advice on how to move forward from here. Answer
Hi Kusalo Ng,

First I have to admit that I am not much of a meditator.  However I can share with you whatever "academic" knowledge that I have.

It is good to know that you have recovered/are recovering from your illness.  I am sure you know that radiation therapy is a very debilitating treatment.  So you have to give space for rest and recovery.  Whatever feelings or "problems" that may result should be taken as the after-effects of your radiation treatment.  Just practise as much as you can, and not to over-exert.  The standard advice would be to note whatever feelings you experience, and then "let go".

You need not have to "move forward".  Just practise sitting naturally.  When you get tired, just get more rest.  We must be practical.

Take care.

Justin Choo.
