Question
After thinking about your answer I guess deep down inside I knew the answer. You're right!!
I come from a family that fights, argues, yells and someone is always getting talked about. I found I had become just like them. Remind you this was supposed to be a Christian family. I guess it's true if you hang around people like that long enough you will become just like them without realizing it. It took me 50yrs.
When I found Buddhism & started to change the way I was doing everything I became a much calmer person. I'm not prefect but I'm a heck of a lot better than I was. My wife a LOVING the new me!!! But it did come at the expense of cutting the ties with my own family 8 months ago. My mother just can't understand that I just couldn't take it no more. She says that I'm not being forgiving. But none of them did anything wrong.
I feel good about the path I'm following now. Still trying to learn & understand just myself. A lot of different feeling now. A lot to take in after all these yrs. And still more questions.
Sorry if I got long winded. No one around that I can relate to.

Thanks Again

Answer
Hi Ed,

You can always communicate with me whenever you feel like it.

Whether it's a Christian family or any other religion, so long as it's a human family, there will be problems.  I am of no exception.  Only when one decides to try to improve oneself in the "Art" of living a peaceful life, can life's problems be reduced.

Take care.
