Question
hi justin
I've recently been to meditation classes that were held by a nun near to where i live in England, i didn't know what tradition she was or care if I'm honest, i now know she's of the new kadampa tradition, i looked on the Internet and NKT seems to be fairly controversial, I'd be interested to hear your views on the NKT.
  Thank you

Answer
Hi klw,

As you know, I follow the Theravada tradition.  NKT is from the Tibetan tradition.  I usually don't comment on the other traditions.  You can decide for yourself whether it suits you.  If it doesn't, then stop following it.

May I suggest you check on these two sites:
http://www.amaravati.org/abmnew/index.php
http://www.cittaviveka.org/

You can search for most of the Buddhist centres in UK @

Hope this helps
