QuestionHi,
I saw a movie called 'samsara' buddhist movie. i have two questions
1. Why do they show nude stills and having intercourse in that movie since it s not permitted spiritually to others.even though i did not make myself to lust..i am jus asking..
2. What is the meaning of the message they show at the end of movie
'how can you save a drop of water from drying up??'
Answer
'by throwing into the sea'
AnswerHello Udayan,
I have not seen the film.
However, I see nothing wrong in showing nude human bodies and sexual intercourse in a movie meant for grown-ups.
As for the message, it reminds me of the following from Edwin Arnold's The Light of Asia (about one who has achieved Nirvana):
Never shall yearnings torture him, nor sins
Stain him, nor ache of earthly joys and woes
Invade his safe eternal peace; nor deaths
And lives recur. He goes
Unto Nirvana. He is one with Life
Yet lives not. He is blest, ceasing to be.
Om, Mani Padme, Om! the Dewdrop slips
Into the shining sea!
Kind regards,
Advayavadananda.
