Answer
Hello Ayoomide,
There are no prescribed Buddhist views on divorce. This is more of a cultural issue and not a philosophical or religious one.  There is no central authority in Buddhism and thus no one to lay down cultural edicts as there are in Western or Middle Eastern based religions.  The one thing that might be a guiding principle in a Buddhist who decides to get divorce would be to do what is right and compassionate.  The Buddhist caveat to "do no intentional harm" would be a good guide for someone to follow.
Again the mores of divorce would be more about the persons cultural involvment.
  take care,

I can answer questions dealing with Taoist philosophy and Zen and not the historicity and religion of Buddhism and its different schools. I studied under Dr. Richard DeMartino and Masao Abe of the Kyoto School of Zen.
