hi do you have any information on the time it takes the conciousness to leave the body after death?

Hi Kaan,

From th Buddhist perspective, there are a number of differing views.  The Tibetan Buddhists believe that the consciousness will be in limbo for a period of time.  The Mahayanese Buddhists believe that the consciousness does not leave the body immediately.  The Theravada Buddhists have been taught that rebirth takes place immediately after death.
