Question
hi,

i wanted to know, according to the teachings of Buddha is there any rules of marriage e.g. who are you allowed to marry or not allowed to marry?.

could you please give me references please and a brief interpretation of the verses.

thank you

amir

Answer
Hello Amir,
I am not aware of any rules, but I suppose that a Buddhist who takes his or her five precepts seriously will do well to seek a partner who shares these fundamental views.
Kind regards,
Advayavadananda.
