Question
Dear Justin

Before I accept buddhism I have a few questions. I briefly read some of the tipikata and Buddha says stay away from instrumental music and eat only one meal a day. First, I love music and playing guitar. Second, isn't there overwhelming scientific evidence that three well-balanced meals a day is the healthy way to go.

Thank you for asking me.

First I would like to remind you that no one is forcing you to accept Buddhism.

The Tipitaka is a very wide and diverse source of the Buddha's teachings, much of which were addressed to monks.  The one you are referring to was addressed to monks.  As for your well-balanced meals, there are also a lot of "scientific discoveries" that were proven wrong over time.
