Question
How did the childhood experiences of Siddhartha Guatama (buddha) lead to his questioning of the spiritual practices of his time?

Answer
Hi Rose
Thanks for sending a question in.

Forgive me I feel before I answer your question I need you
to come back and be a bit more specific. If you can I will
be more than happy to try and help.

I have in the past given quite general answers to the life of the Buddha and Buddhism in general. As you will understand these answers are necessarily short and abridged.

I would also say I am a Buddhist teacher and practioner. So the best answers I can give you are from that perspective.
There are numerous books and web sites now that give the
general academic and historic perspective.

What I try and do now is to ask people to be very specific so that I can
really address the heart of their questions. So I would
ask you to tell me:
1. Who you are, where you are and what is your background in Buddhism or other spiritual traditions?
2. What it is motivating you to ask this question at this time?
3. To be very specific of what it is you would like to know?
