What are all the different types of buddhism and what is the difference between all of them? I am a buddhist, I just am not sure what type.

As for your question, there is Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. Theravada is Southern Buddhism. Mahayana is Eastern Buddhism and the main schools are Zen and Pure Land.
