Question
Hello,
I read in one of your posts that you corrected a writer when he wrote "Buddhist Priest". Well there are such things as Buddhist Priests, because I am one. In the Japanese Pure Land Tradition of Jodo Shinshu. THe ordained are not monastics and have the title of Priest. Just thought I would share this with you.

Thank you for pointing out. Actually in English terminology, the term "priest" has a Christian connotation. But I suppose if anyone wishes to use the term for other faiths, I would not find fault with it.

I was brought up in the 50's as a Buddhist. For the past 40 years I have read numerous books on Buddhism and listened to numerous talks on Buddhism by well-respected and learned monks and lay teachers. I conduct Buddhist classes for parents of Sunday School children in a Theravada Buddhist Temple.
