Question
I recently purchased a set of Buddha statues and they are all doing different things. Is there different meanings to each of these? Things such as Happiness, health, prosperity, etc...?

Answer
Hi Karie
There are many different Buddha statues.

I guess we do not sit still like a statue so why should the Buddha! So we could think the Buddha was a real person who bacame awake - but still expressed every dimension of activity.

The hand positions are often significant. Sometimes he has his hands cupped in his lap in meditation. Sometimes one hand palm forward indicating no fear etc.
