Question
I have a 2100-2450 word paper due and need your assistance. The paper topic is "How is the practice of Buddhism expressed in the United States?".
The paper should focus on how the societal views of spirituality and religion have been influenced and how social and political life has been inpacted by the selected Eastern religious tradition.  Then compare and contrast the selected religion to at least one other eastern religion.
HELP ME PLEASE.....This is all very foriegn to me. I don't know where to start.

Hi Alicia,

It is also very foreign to me.  First I am not in the U S.  It is definitely academic rhetoric, for there is no such thing as stated in the topic!  Just like asking "How is the art of origami expressed in the cultural and spiritual context of the American idealism?".  

You have my sympathy.  Just a suggestion.  Maybe you could gather all the facts about Buddhism and use some common sense to tie in.  Pay attention to the theme of harmlessness, compassion, inner peace, seeing the real nature of existence (the Four Noble Truths), meditation and mindfulness.  Wikipedia will help you find the information.  For me to add more than this will just be deceiving you.
