Question
Hi, my name is Jake Hollin and I teach a world history class in maryland for 9th graders.  My students are learning about Buddhism and we have some general questions that we would like to ask if you could possibly help us out.  We would greatly appreciate any wisdom you can share with us and look forward to hearing from you.

* Is there a strict diet that Buddhist adhear to?  Are all Buddhist vegetaraians?

* What do the different color robes that Buddhist monks wear symbolize?  Are they worn at all times (for example do they have to wear them to bed to sleep?)

* How do Buddhist monks manage to pay for what they have?

* Why do Buddhist monks shave their heads?

* What do you believe Nirvana will be like?

* Most of the kids in our class have seen the movie Anger Management where the Buddhist Monk beats someone up.  There is one not too bright fellow who actually thinks this is real.  Could you please share with us the reality about Buddhist and their position on violence and pacifism.

Thanks again for all your answers, we look forward to hearing from you! Thanks
J. Hollin
