Question
I dont have an altar in my house and I hardly go to temples thanks to my mom. I then printed a few Buddha's pictures, and paste it in my room. I pray to them every night.

Do the Buddhas receive my prayers like this?Is this a stupid act? If yes, do I have to really face a statue and pray?

Answer
Hello Lee
I am sure pictures in your room are fine. Maybe create a small shrine in your room. With a picture of the Buddha and you could offer the Buddha maybe a flower or candle or incense just like in a temple.

I am sure if you are sincere your prayers are listened too
