Question
How do you prepare for your daily worship?

Answer
Dear Jeff,
Daily worship is not part of Zen and worship is not really part of Buddhism. The historical Buddha, Siddhartha, is not a god but a man who became awakened to a new view of reality.  Anyone who becomes awakened is a Buddha and the word itself means 'awakened one'.  So there is no worship of the Buddha in most forms of Buddhism.  However, there are some sectst that do worship him but I don't study them and can't help you with this.
 Take care,
       Joe

I can answer questions dealing with Taoist philosophy and Zen and not the historicity and religion of Buddhism and its different schools. I studied under Dr. Richard DeMartino and Masao Abe of the Kyoto School of Zen.
