Buddhists/Tien Tao

Question
Dear Bodhicitta:
I go to a meeting of Tien Tao, a Chinese religion that says you can cultivate the Tao by following one’s Buddha mind rather than one’s human mind.  They believe in heaven because of witnessing the miracles of child oracles and flaccid bodies after death rather than stiff bodies.  I have never witnessed either “miracle,â€? but what questions can be asked to help one look at such issues clearly.

Answer
Hi Michael
Thanks for your message.

The only thing the Buddha advocates is following your
own experience. Miracles, the beliefs of others , flaccid dead boys all sound like curiosities but really don't tell you much do they?

The Buddha's path today as it was in the Buddha's day is to
learn meditation from a qualified teacher and examine the
nature of your mind. Having done this make your own mind up
on the nature of truth based on your experience.
