why does the life of gautama is late of origin compiled centuries after his death

did he conquer death

can amitabha save us ONLY BY DOING THE REST TO US withiut our efforts

do we have consciousness in nirvana or do we live there or extinct

Answer
Hi Jay
Amitabha is a Buddha.

Gautama is the name of the man who became the Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha. He conquered death.

To become enlightened it requires our own effort and the
blessing of the Buddhas. Often this is called the Hook and The Eye - like threading a kneedle. Why cant the Buddhas just enlighten us without our effort? Well its simple - we
are Buddhas too - so we are powerful in our confused way!

The pure Buddha mind exists beyond Samsara and Nirvana.
