 What do you think of all this new age stuff where people claim that they can channel ascended masters etc.?

Hi Jim,
 In my travels and studies over the years I have met several of these channelers. I've always found it odd they channel old warriors and not scientists or philosophers. It's like someone in the future channeling Gen Patton but not Ghandi.  Anything they teach is vague and unempirical so you can't challenge it.  I've never found anything that lends any credence to this idea.  No one has ever fluently spoken a language they didn't know while in this state.  They claim they do but when given to linguistic experts it ends up being babble with no real structures that all languages share.
