Question
you have a couple of friends who are fighting with each other over a small situation. You want to remain friends with both of them. how should you handle this situation?

Hi Nick,

(This site is actually for questions relating to the teachings of the Buddha which deal with the question of unhappiness and how to overcome it.)

Listen to them, and keep my mouth shut.  But I fail to understand what this has got to do with Confucianism or Buddhism.

I was brought up in the 50's as a Buddhist. For the past 40 years I have read numerous books on Buddhism and listened to numerous talks on Buddhism by well-respected and learned monks and lay teachers. I conduct Buddhist classes for parents of Sunday School children in a Theravada Buddhist Temple. My teacher was the late Chief Reverend, The Ven.
