Question
Sorry to bother you, but I'm stumped. When refering to a word translated from tibetan into english, there are just so many meanings. How do you figure out which is the right word? Example, love. There is love of all meanings, but i just mean love as the word. Not immeasurables, etc..

Answer
translation is a real skill.

Well in my opinion...
In order to translate dharma from Tibetan to English you
need a strong skill in both languages, and you also
need a thorough understanding of dharma both practical
and theoretical.

I therefore think its hardly suprising that if we look
at translation over the last 40 -50 years we can not
clearly see tbat many of the early translations were
wrong.

So beware translation, and translators . Best think
would be to find a teacher who understands your own
language and you can have a conversation with.
