Question
Justin...we have corresponded before. I have recently left the official Christian faith and have embarked on the Buddhist path. I am practicing Vipassana as taught in the book Mindfulness in Plain English. I like to read, I read the Dammapada, and I am curious to know which other books, sacred texts, would be beneficial for me to read in order to know what the Buddha taught. I would appreciate any pertinent information and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Ciaofornow,
Rico

Answer
Hi Rico,

Welcome to the path of inner peace and truth.  May your journey be a fruitful and happy one.

The best advice I can give you is to spend your time surfing through the following websites below.  The next thing is to visit Buddhist temples near you.  Last but not least please come back to say "Hi" and keep in touch.  The "mother" of all Buddhist websites is "www.buddhanet.net".  If you still need specific book titles please let me know. Books by Ajahn Chah and about him are highly recommended.  Please proceed...
