Question
I have a print of a buddha in yab-yum. The print is called nancog, although whomever it depicts may also be Nantsog rGyalpo. Anyway, do you know anything about this character?

Answer
Hi John
Generally I would say that if you are working with a Yab-Yum figure or other devotional figure you need some special instructions from your Lama or teacher to go with that.

In these internet days we have access to many pictures thankgas etc! But only the practices introduced to us
through a qualified teacher and lineage are of value.

But looking at the Tibetan rGylapo is king of course.
Namtsok (rnam tshogs), which could mean fully accumulated, presumably having the two accumulations of punya and jnana.

There are a lot of strange Nyingma deities and very little information about them!
