Hi i'm POH again , from Malaysia . Can you tell me where can i find the best Vipassana master in Malaysia to teach me the meditation ? I have learned  several types of meditations before and i found all those teachers are not up to the standard to give high quality teaching in meditation . Since you are now reading books about Vipassana, you may consider reading books on Buddhist meditation in general.  This will give you a better idea of the purpose of Buddhist meditation.

(On a separate topic, a "stream entry" or "stream winner" is one who has entered the path of liberation. In Pali he is a sotapan or sotapanna, one who will not be reborn in the woeful state.  And at the most, he will be reborn 7 times before attaining liberation.  This is also called the first stage of sainthood, having destroyed 3 of the 10 fetters, namely delusion of a permanent soul, doubt about the dhamma, and clinging to useless rites and rituals. He is a stream enterer just like a stream which will surely and ultimately reach the ocean of liberation.)
