Budget Travel/Two cities in Spain

Question
Hi,

I'd like to take my wife to Spain for our tenth anniversary.

On web sites I've found flights to Madrid as low as $1100 (for both of us, return).

However, we'd like to see Barcelons as well. Only Expedia, of sites I've found, lets you put in two cities. And when I put in New York-Madrid-Barcelona-New York (without a Madrid to Barcelona flight) I get one possibility at $7000 (too much).

Is there any other web site that gives the option of two cities?

Many thanks,

Steve

Answer
Dear Steve,

This is what I recommend doing:

Go to www.kayak.com.  Select the "one way" option instead of the "round trip" option.   Find one way flights from New York to Madrid, and from Barcelona to New York.  I do not know how far in advance you are booking, so I can't tell you which prices to expect.

If you are willing to risk non-refundable tickets for a lower price then what you found at kayak.com, then after you find the going rates, you can haggle at hotwire.com or priceline.com for lower prices.

I have a website called www.travelbargainsites.com which lists all these travel web sites and other sites that can help you find good prices.

Congratulations on ten years together with your wife.
