Question
Stephen-

My sisters and I are visiting Japan in the end of May for 10 days. We already have ISIC and hostelling cards, and we are planning on getting a 7 day JR pass. Do you have any big suggestions for budget travel in Japan?

Thanks so much. Cassie

Answer
Hi Cassie:

Sorry but we have yet to visit Japan. Guess there are still a few spots on planet Earth awaiting our arrival.

Lodging, in-country and in-city transportation, meals and sightseeing cover most expenses. Seems you have done very well indeed covering most of these.

You might contact of web search tourist offices in major cities like Tokyo for any special deals re: museum passes (perhaps better than student discounts) and in-city bus/subway passes.

Your web search will cover cheap meal strategies and heh, you do like noodles right?

No big suggestions thought.

Oh, please do check my new Blog with my in-depth article on FREE global travel. Never to early to get that ball rolling as in .... charge all those student fees etc.
