Budget Travel/cheap lodging in Lesvos

Question
I'm trying to book a hotel/hostel for my brother and sister in law who as I type are on a boat to the island of Lesbos.  Any suggestions of where to find a cheap but clean hotel/hostel?  Thanks much!  Marne Loveman

Answer
Hi Marne:

Okay, whether or not this works you've found someone who LOVES LESVOS....AKA LESBOS so I'm sure we're talking about the same island....Greece near Turkey.

We have one and only one super pick...good old Sandy Bay Hotel
http://www.windmillstravel.com/hotel.php?id=4081&rel=gay

Seems off season price may be in effect at about 56Euros.

Why Sandy Bay:  Location, location location. Just a stroll down the street to st. Isidoros beach voted 7th clearest beach (water) in Greece. And just a $1.00 taxi ride into the most charming town of Plomari. Charming town, with waterfront lights along a strip of neat restaurants etc.

Hotel rooms were clean, great fresh water pool, owners charming and helpful and from upper rooms a view of the Agean. This was about 3 years ago.

Relax at pool, relax at beach, nosh at cool restaurants near the beach and enjoy charming Plomari at night. Plus leave the crowds behind....very few Americans make there way to Lesvos. Hope this helps.
