Question
I read your profile and free tickets sounds like something I can get used to.:)  Well, my wife and I are between the ages of 28 and 32.  We are hoping to travel to Zambia, Africa around  December 16 for about three weeks.  We only need the round trip air tickets.  Do you know of the cheapest route I can go?

Thank you,
Myron

Answer
Hi Myron:

On the Free travel front I've written an in-depth article
and created a Blog as the vehicle for easily sharing it with others.

You will find the article at:

www.cheapskatetravel.blogspot.com

Both our trips to Africa involved Free flights which cut the total cost of our photo safaris in half.

If you are starting from scratch with airline free travel programs it will be difficult to accumulate the needed miles for one Free flight which I believe to be 75,000 miles.

I'd check the NY and or LA Sunday Travel sections which often have mini ads from air brokers/consolidators offering tix to more exotic locals.

Otherwise diligent web research. www.airbrokers.com has awesome deals on round the world ticketing but then again this works only if visiting several global destinations. Stil an interesting site to know about.

Happy travels. STeve T.

FREE GLOBAL & DOMESTIC TRAVEL which always beats discount travel. In recent years we have enjoyed free travel to such destinations as Africa, Israel, Australia, Brazil, France, New Zealand, Hawaii, England, Greece, Alaska and our lower 48. Other budget travel areas include such as air brokers, rebate travel agencies, renting a Paris/Barcelona apartments for as little as $65/night (depending on length of stay and size of apt.), sightseeing and general TIPS on travel related comfort, safey/convenience and day to day SAVINGS. Since we travel Free 95% of the time I DO NOT OFFER ADVICE ON CHEAPEST, LOWEST PRICED AND/OR LAST MINUTE AIRLINE FARES. Such deals are best found by diligent Google research & reading the N.Y. and/or L.A. Sunday best in the U.S. Travel sections. FREE airline deals may NOT be available to non-U.S. residents.
