Question
QUESTION: I decided not to incubate them  the only reson i wanted to is to have a baby bird to train. It started when my 2 birds male and female had eggs. They had them this summer and they hatched i tried agian and they had eggs 3 but they didnt hatch why you siad it doesnt matter my brother said i should wait 6 months is that true

ANSWER: Hi Alex!

That's good to know. Actually, there's an easy way to hand-feed chicks with a higher success rating, but I'd still wait a few more times to have parent reared chicks before you start doing this. You can pull the chicks from their parents at 1-2 weeks old and hand-feed them, it's much easier. You can breed them year-round and as many times as you want, but to keep your birds healthy you should only breed them three times a year. I usually do this in consecutive order so I don't have to have materials stocked year-round, so you can still breed them one more time this year. So, if you really want to hand-feed babies you don't have to incubate the eggs, actually you don't even have to hand-feed them to raise them to become good pets. If you can just handle them once a day starting at about a week of age for 15 minutes and slowly making the time longer they will learn to love human hands!

Hope this helps!

QUESTION: Thanks it does and i was wonering how can i make my birds healtheir for breeding? What can i feed them?

Answer
Hi Alex!

There are no real breeding foods, just make sure they have extra veggies and fruits. I also give my birds a calcium supplement because it gives them more calcium which is essential in breeding, but is not necessary.

Hope this helps!
