Question
my parakeet wount stop bitting me and when i try to get it out of its cage it flys around like crazy! please help

Answer
Hi, Evelyn,

Your keet isn't tame...this is why it bites.  Do not try to bring your keet out of its cage yourself...allow the bird to come out of its cage on its own.  It sounds like your bird is biting you because you are scaring your bird by sticking your hand in its cage and trying to bring it out.  When you do this, you are cornering your bird and the only thing your untame bird knows to do is fight or flight.  Since it can't fly away from you from within its cage, it fights back by biting.  Your bird is frightened of you and you need to spend time trying to tame your bird.  This takes much time and patience, as well as knowledge on your part as to how to tame a bird and interact with a bird.

Visit my website for more information on how to do this.  There's a paragraph specfically about taming/training:  www.angelfire.com/falcon/birdinfo/index.html
www.birdchannel.com is also a good website for information.
