Question
Hello Erika

My Budgies are in A Aviary with pleanty of room there is 8 in there at the moment and thats 4 pairs i only have 1 breeding pair at the moment and the female has been sitting on the eggs for about 1-2 weeks but she has scaley face and so does alot of the other budgies

So i was wondering what should i put on them to help with it?
and will my female survive if i dont treat her as i dont wont to take her away from the eggs?

And sorry just 1 more question i have just lost a budgie due to mice killing it as it went onto the floor, I have heard that if you put rabbits on the ground they will kill them so is this true? and if you dont no its ok at least you tried to help

Thankyou
Mitch

Answer
Hi Mitch!

It sounds like you need to take one of the budgies with scaly face to an avian veterinarian so you can get some medication for all of them. I don't know about the rabbits, but maybe the bottom of your aviary could be line with wire mesh, I used this to prevent mice once. You really need something from an avian vet for the infected birds. I've never really experienced scaly face with my birds, so I really don't know how bad it can get, if you wait much longer then the female may die. You may want to mention from the vet that the female is sitting on eggs, as the medication may affect the chicks.

Hope this helps!
Erika
