Question
Hi Leah! I just recently bought a Hagen Plastic Parakeet Nest Box and put it in Tico and Terri's cage. I have also attached a waterer and feeder for them. I added a cuttlebone, iodine block and a swing for them, too. How long before they mate and have eggs? Remember, they are a well bonded pair! Please answer ASAP.
From, Ustat.

Answer
It depends on them mostly.  I would put wood shavings or dryer lint in the nest, and they will clean it out.  That will help to speed things up.  They will probably start mating soon, especially if they have already well bonded.  Around a week or so after they start to mate, you could start to see eggs!
Good luck!
