Subject: Scared Budgies?

Question
My budgies is so scared of the nest box I put in there cage. I even once tried to put my budgies in and they immediately escaped. Why is this happening? How can I stop this and lure them in?

Answer
If they are scared, it is probably because they've never seen anything like it.  Think about it from the perspective of a little budgie; they are low on the food chain, and nearly everything is perceived as a predator.    Give them time, and they will get used to it.  Its normal for them to be afraid of it, but the phase will pass.

If you're having trouble getting them back in the cage, try tossing a light towel or a t-shirt over them.  After they are covered, gently pick them up and place them back in the cage.
