Question
Hey my 2 baby parakeets are 2 weeks old now....i was gonna hand feed them but i decided not to.....At 3 weeks if i start to play with them for 10 min every hour or so will that hand tame them?
i would starty to play with them now but im new at breeding and i dont want to hurt the neck...they started to grow hair like 3 or 4 days ago
Hello Alex. Good judgement on not wanting to hurt the babies. At 3 weeks of age the babies may have a little timper but they will calm down as you hold them more and more everyday. They should become tame to you as long as you do hold them EVERYDAY. It was a good idea that you decided not to hand feed them being a first time breeder, it takes some epxierience. I know I would not have known how to hand feed when I first bred budgies. So to answer your question directly, yes, they will become tame if you hold them everday for 10 minutes every hour.
