Question
Hi Kyle,

I have a budgie that is about one year old. I have a male budgie.  He used  to peck my finger alot but it seems that I've worked that out already. I've heard that older budgies are hard to tame.  Can you give me some tips on how to tame my budgie.

Answer
Hello Isaiah. You have heard right, older budgies who are not used to humans are reluctant to become accustomed to us and be friendly. However, this is not always the case. Budgies, like humans and all animals, have personalitys of there own, no two are a like. I would reccomend you hold your Budgie once a day, for 5-15 minutes. Taming an older parakeet will take patience and time. Day by day, he will slowly become accustomed to you. But it wont happen over night.

Hope this Helps Isaiah. Thanks.
