Question
I can't understand why the female budgier threw all 4 eggs out of the nesting box. She was sitting on it at first, as a new owner i was curious why she never gets out of the nesting box, and when i peeped in there were 4 eggs. Then 2 days later she didnt sit on them anymore. She first threw an egg then 2 days after she threw all 3. Why did she do that? i have 6 budgies but i put the mom and the dad in a different cage. So nobody disturbs them.

Answer
Hello Avis.
When parakeets breed, there is only a small chance the eggs will be fertile every time they breed. They usually have to breed and lay a couple times before they get a fertile egg. The mother probably realized that the eggs were un-fertile and kicked them out of the nest. She will mate and lay again, dont worry. And eventualy you will get some chicks!
