Question
Hi I have a couple of questions to ask. First, i have a male parakeet with his son who are in the same cage and they get along well in the same cage. i had to seperate them because the mom who is with another three new birds is being very aggressive to them both. Why is she being aggressive to the other two. Another question is the the three baby parakeets are with the mom and two of them come out of the nesting box but just sit in the corner and i pick them up and put them back in the box becuase im not sure they know how to get back in the box so im not sure if i should put the two that come out of the box in with the father and let the father take care of them ?

Answer
If the cage is too cramped for them all, the mother can become aggressive to the other parakeets in the cage. As for the babies, I would leave them with the mother nad just keep puting them back in the nest box until they are old enought to come out. Let the mother do everything, she knows what shes doing.
