Budgies/strange sounds

Question
one of my budgies(I think the male one) keeps making these werd hooting noises like owls do. Is this normal? Because my other budgie doesnt make them neither did my old ones. Do these noises mean anything?

Answer
Hello Nina.
If your male budgie is making these sounds while he is around the female that is present in the cage [[if a female is present in the cage]] he is likely just flirting and trying to court her. I wouldnt stress out too much over it. Watch him while he makes these noises. Does it appear that he is in pain? Does he go off balance on the perch while he makes these sounds? Just make some observations and it appears he could possibly in any way be in pain, take him to the vet.

Hope this helps! Thanks Nina.
