Question
I have 3 chicks in each box 2-3 weeks old now.  I have been cleaning out the nesting box with a small shop vac and just sucking everything out and changing the nesting pad every 4-5 days. I noticed there are some white chunks. What are these chunks and should I leave them there or continue to take them out?

Answer
Hello Bonnie,
Congrats on your new little ones! Its hard to say what the white chunks are and if you should take them out without being able to see them. I'm sure its fine to take them out as long as the behavior of the chicks and the parents doesnt change if you do.
I cant see what significanse white chunks would have. I'm sure its just some kind of waste or something.

Good Luck!
